Samantha Sheehan started making wine in 2009, when she was just 26 years old. At that time, she was working for a larger Cabernet producer in Napa who allowed her to make two barrels of Napa Valley Cabernet in partial trade. Every year since, she has grown the Cabernet brand until it reached the 6,500 cases it is today. Deliciously smooth, this California Cab has a medley of lush blue and blackberry fruit, leather, brambly earth, violet, hints of oak and firm tannin. It harmoniously comes together with a lingering finish and over-delivers for the price. Pop this suave fella with a steak, a blue cheese burger or even a dark chocolate cake.
