Produced by blending infusions of dried bergamot peels and Earl Grey tea macerated using a combination of local California white wine and neutral grape spirit, this wine-based aperitif from Veso’s Eclipse series of limited, experimental fortified wines is perfect as a vermouth substitute, a versatile cocktail modifier, or in place of amaro in an Amaro Caldo.
Aromas of brewed black tea, dried orange peel, and riverbank moss precede a palate that lives up to its namesake, highlighting tannic black tea and bergamot orange with nori and soft undertones of tropical fruit. Botanicals include Italian bergamot orange peel and organic, Fair Trade-certified Earl Grey tea from Tonganagaon, India.
