TASTING NOTES

In Oregon, mencía (men-thee-ah) is still relatively new, but has shown potential due to the state’s cooler climate and diverse terroir, which can be similar to the conditions found in mencía’s native regions in Spain. This Oregon mencía has dark, wild huckleberry aromas, a touch of tobacco and pink peppercorns. The palate follows with black currant, blueberry compote, forest floor, smoky eucalyptus and dusty tannin. Enjoy this red with herbed grilled meats or a Shake Shack mushroom burger.
