TASTING NOTES
A pale, subdued and elegant pink color with clean, pure and almost crystalline aromas of light citrus, red flowers, white fruit, and a touch of cassis. The clean nose evolves with a smooth, voluminous and fruity texture, pleasant freshness and fine bubbles. Driven by a very good balance, with low dosage. -Winemaker's Notes
91pts - Vinous
"Shimmering orange-pink. Bright and sharply focused on the mineral-accented nose, displaying lively red currant and cherry scents and building floral and blood orange qualities. Taut and nervy on the palate, offering vibrant red berry and citrus fruit flavors that flesh out as the wine opens up. Shows fine definition and floral lift on the long, brisk finish, which leaves a dusty mineral note behind."
94pts - Wine & Spirits
"Pepe Raventós adds depth and a touch of color to this estate-grown sparkler with fruit from monastrell vines planted in 1974. That addition lays a smoky note and red-fruit hints over a base of xarel-lo, macabeo and parellada. You could contemplate the narcissus scents, the peach fuzz, the brisk clarity of flavor for hours if you had some oysters, and if you didn’t immediately race through the bottle, as its elegance is hard to resist."
