TASTING NOTES
Tucked away in one of the most picturesque parts of the Colli Berici is a small, family-run winery and brewery called Siemàn. Siemàn in the local dialect means “six hands” and the name alludes to the three brothers – Marco, Andrea and Daniele who run the show. Their focus is to make delicious, low intervention, terror-driven wine (and beer) with only indigenous ingredients from their region of Veneto, Italy. The name Doppio Gioco or Double Play refers to the encounter between the stems of a semi-carbonic maceration and a traditional red vinification. The result is a wine that is fresh, light and easy-drinking that sings with layers of black cherry lollipop, blueberry, blackcurrant and violets with subtle hints of earth and spice and smooth tannin. We recommend pairing with leg of lamb, fried ravioli or a juicy cheeseburger.
