A Hispanic-owned, one-woman operation, Cary Q is the brainchild of winemaker Cary Quintana. She employs a minimal intervention philosophy to craft small-lot wines from distinctive vineyard sites across Northern California.
Hailing from the meticulously and organically farmed Shake Ridge Ranch, this wine is an embodiment of the volcanic-rich soils, layered quartz, basalt, shale, and soapstone that are found in this magical vineyard. It expresses the diversity of nature and its unique microclimate and terroir with deep red fruit, hints of earth and delicate fruit with lingering floral and savory mineral notes.
